Dr. Yasser Elbasatiny is an Egyptian surgeon who has practised since 1989. He trained at Ain Shams University, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1996, and specialised in obesity surgery at the University of Padua (2001) and in advanced and revisional obesity surgery at Aker University Hospital, Oslo (2004). He formerly served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Imam University, Riyadh. He writes and medically reviews every article on this site, and sees patients at Aspects Clinica, New Cairo, and at Cleopatra Hospitals, Cairo.
